I LOVE a good birthday party!

I don’t know about you, but when we have a party coming up in our family, I run to Pinterest to find the theme I am thinking of. It seems to always deliver. I find what I am looking for alright, but it’s usually done by a high-end designer and looks like it cost one billion dollars. Sigh…. I definitely do not have a billion dollars.

Challenge accepted. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I love a good challenge! This is what makes my creative side tick! I love taking those super expensive parties and doing my own budget friendly version.

When you find something you love, pick the top three things that you love the most about it. Then let your creative side kick in. Think.. how can I achieve what I love about this picture, but in my budget, and put my own spin on it?

Here is a party I did several years ago!

We had a small budget to work with but hey, that doesn’t scare me in the least!

My favorite thing about the inspiration photo for this party was, they had huge lollipops and colorful fabric panels hanging behind the table. The big, flat, sparkly lollipops were a big price tag item that was ordered for that party by the designer.

I just had to have BIG lollipops!!

So my shopping list was made.

  • PVC pipe
  • Colorful balls (even grocery stores have these!)
  • Clear vinyl table cover (you can buy this by the yard at most fabric stores)
  • Clear packaging tape
  • Cheap plastic table cloths ($1 each)

Whew!! That was way easier than I thought! I am pretty sure I made them all for under $20. Say whaaaat?

Color was super important for this party! That was pretty easy to accomplish.

Homemade cupcakes and favorite candies displayed in assorted clear containers covered the table. Yumm!

The kids were bouncing off the walls from all theย sugar excitement!! ๐Ÿ˜‰
